Whether following a professional or personal passion for genealogy, sometimes life changes and we need to give ourselves permission to press the pause button every now and then. Over the years I have found myself in the fast lane, the slow lane and sometimes even stuck in the mud and going nowhere. Family history research is an ongoing journey on a road with many twists, turns, roadblocks and U-turns. It is a passion that is not judged not by speed, but by accuracy.
By looking forward, pushing away discouragement and realizing the break is just temporary, we can navigate the turns and enjoy the ride until life in fast lane resumes.
